(Jakarta Post) Prabowo Praises Jokowi's Cabinet
Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto praised on Tuesday the lineup of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo’s Cabinet.
"ln my assessment, [the Cabinet] is good because it has a large number ot professionals. I hope Jokowis administration can work well," he said after attending the Golkar Partys 5Oh anniversary celebrations in Kemayoran, Central jakarta, late Tuesday.
Prabowo also called on members of the public to stop criticizing Jokowis ministers because they had yet to begin working.
"Well give them fjokowis ministers] a chance. We will also give them space to work for the sake of the country and the people," he said.
Prabowo also said he could understand why Jokowi had picked some ministers who were considered not the best people for the job.
"Nothing is perfect, is it?" he said.
On Monday, Jokowi and Vice President Jusuf Kalla inaugurated 34 members of their Cabinet, comprising 14 political appointees and 20 professionals.
The relationship between Jokowi and Prabowo turned sour following the General Elections Commissions (KPU) announcement that Jokowi had won the July 9 presidential election.
The rift appeared to be over when on Oct. 20, Prabowo attended Jokowis inauguration.
